For 10 years La Parisienne decided to support a cause essentially feminine: the eradication of breast cancer. In 2009 for its 13th birthday, La Parisienne collected 77 148 € given to the “Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale" (FRM) to contribute to the financing of 3 research projects on this disease.
This year, La Parisienne and FRM have a new deel, stronger, with an amazing objective : 90 000€ of donation. Four various actions are organized it.
PROGRAMS TO MOBILIZE TOGETHER

program “1 euro, 1 ribbon”
Pay 1 euro or more…
… and tie your ribbon around your wrist! In 2007, for the fourth year and to support even more the fight against breast cancer, the program “1 euro, 1 ribbon” allowed us to collect 3 746.56 euros that were paid back into the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale to support their awareness and information work for the fight against breast cancer.
The program “1 euro, 1 ribbon” started in 2004 to meet the increasing demand of the runners to support the fight against breast cancer at La Parisienne. The program “1 euro, 1 ribbon” consists of putting 1 euro or more into an urn in exchange of a ribbon that participants can tie around their wrist or on their race number during the race.

The ribbon will be sold in different stands of La Parisienne village.
In 2009, we collected 4 742,48€ for the fight against breast cancer were given to the” Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale”.
MOBILIZE YOURSELF DURING THE 4 TRAINING SESSIONS
The symbolic financial contribution of women participating to La Parisienne training sessions will be an opportunity to mobilize and to collect founds for the operation « 1€, 1 ribbon ».
First meeting the 8th of march 2009 for the women’s day.
In 2009, the participation of women runners at the training sessions allowed us to collect 2 408,68€.

PUBLIC PROGRAM "1 EURO, 1 MIN"
During the 3 days of opening village, the foundation proposes massages in his stand. Inside principle, runners and their supporters an relax activety so much as thez whish it.
This action allowed to collect 2160€ in 2009.

The challenge for life Mobilize your company
You can give your company the opportunity to mobilize by particpating to « Challlenge for life ». The principe is to allow companies which made a team at La Parisienne, to contribute to founds raising against breast cancer.
This challenge represents the opportunity to affirm to all its employees, customers, the company’s engagement in supports of health. Several actions are possible : - For each employees running La Parisienne, your company give to the founfation the amount of its choice
-Your company can create its own collect page online (logo, texte, photo…) and propose to all the employees, associates, contractors…to make a donation on it
- Your company can also add its donation to the collect global amount on its own page.
In 2009 the « Challenge for life » permitted to collect more than 35 740€ thanks to about forty companies.

A MAJOR PROBLEM OF PUBLIC HEALTH
In fact, breast cancer concerns one woman on ten in France, despite advances in research, it kills one million of women each year in the wolrd. That’s why it’s important to learn more about this disease in order to enhance prevention and treatments.”
The 2009 research projects selectionned by the scientific committee of « la fondation pour la recherche médicale » will be shortly available on that page and presented in La Parisienne’s village.
All the founds collected against breast cancer this year thanks to La Parisienne will be given back to « La fondation pour la recherche médicale ».
WHAT IS THE FONDATION RECHERCHE MEDICALE ?

The Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale celebrate this year is one’s sixtieth birthday!
The Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale support all the medical research aspects, whether it is fundamental, clinical or epidemiologic and though in any medical field.
- it supports young research scientist
- it contributes to the financing of equipments for new research team
- it supports research programme full of innovation
TWO MAIN DIRECTION OF FINANCING “Excellence biomedical” program
The scientific board selects projects in any medical field, and grants financial aids for the project allowing a better result. This program is renewed each year.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS The “Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale” is involved in introducing and accelerating research in specific field where the research is not enough developed. These actions are punctual and continuing on an average of three years.
EACH YEAR, IT GRANTS ABOUT 700 AIDS The “Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale” granted about 700 aids for research for a budget of 31 million of euros in 2006.
Its financial aids are related to the whole French research public laboratories. Since its establishment, it participated to any relevant medical discoveries.
INFORM TO FAVOR THE DEBATE The “Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale” fulfils public information’s mission through its review “Research & Health”, its Guidebooks “Health: 100 commonplace ideas, researchers’ opinion” and its website www.frm.org.
ACT EVERYWHERE IN FRANCE Aids granted by the “Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale” are split into two parts, one part for Parisian laboratories and the other part for those in province. In most of the French regions, a Regional Committee represents the “Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale”.
